Angela Stalcup

I was born in Birmingham, Alabama.  After high school, I decided to move to Los Angeles, California to pursue a career in fashion.  After 3 years of living in such a big city and only meeting my fashion career halfway, I decided to hang my hat and move home.  I continued to pursue a career in fashion in Alabama, but I hit some roadblocks. I decided to switch gears and work in law as I had a good friend who was a paralegal and thought I could do this job.  I attended a local community college in Birmingham where I received a paralegal certification.  I continued working as a paralegal for 7 years, assisting defense litigation attorneys with insurance and medical malpractice suits.  After 7 years working in the legal world, I decided this was not the life-long career for me, so I decided to switch my career focus to sales.  With no experience except a love for talking with people, I knew I would have to start from the bottom and work my way up.  But I was up for the challenge.

I obtained my first job in sales in 2012 as an administrative assistance with a female owned electrical utility sales agency in my hometown of Trussville, AL.  I assisted inside and outside sales for roughly 3 months until the president of the company took a chance and moved me to an inside sales position where I continued to excel with the company for almost 2 years.  I wanted more out of my new career, but unfortunately it was not the right time for me to move towards a bigger role, so I decided to move on.

I accepted a new position in 2014 with an international sales division of one of the oldest ductile iron manufacturers in the U.S. where I started as a customer support representative (CSR).  About a year into working as a CSR, an inside sales role became available, and I was offered a position to work with the Middle East territory.  Working with this territory pushed me to learn the technical side with waterworks and fire protection products for international projects in the gas & oil industry.  I worked as the Middle East inside sales representative for roughly 6 years, then finally was giving the opportunity to move into outside sales.  I received the opportunity to start my outside sales journey with US Exporting and the Caribbean territory in 2019.  Finally making it to the place in my career that I aspired to be, I was led to the opportunity to work for AVEM Water who I had come to know and admire very much through a customer relationship.

I am very blessed to be surrounded by some great sales representatives and customer support people who have mentored me, and continue to support me on this journey I am still on today.

I currently reside in Nashville, TN with my husband and two kids.  I love to eat, drink, and travel.  But most of all, spending time with my family and friends.
